Extracted Text data: Three Indians boxers advance to medal rounds at Asian Youth Championship Bangkok, Apr 25: Indian male boxers endured a mixed day at the Asian Youth Cham-pionships, where three advanced to the medal rounds and qualified for the Youth Olympics, while six others lost in the quarterfinal stage. Ankit Khatana (60kg), Bhavesh Kattimani Ku-mar (52kg) and Aman (+91kg) won their respec-tive quarterfinal bouts to enter the semifinals and book a berth in the Youth Olympics, which will take place in the Argentine capital Buenos Aires later thiS year. While Ankit defeated Korea's Seomho Shin by unanimous decision. Bhavesh got the better of Malaysia's Rasdenal Haikal Muhamad, also a 5-0 verdict. Aman, on the other hand, had to toil hard for his 3-2 triumph over China's Ma Jinyang. However, it was cur-tains for Barun Singh (49kg), Himmat Singh (91kg), Akash Kumar (64kg), Akash Kumar (56kg), Vijaydeep Duhan (69kg) and Ronak (81 kg). Himmat was pummelled by Uzbekistan'S Javokhir Thgaymurodov. Going down to Kazakhstan's Tagat Shaiken in a unani-mous decision was the Akash competing in the light welterweight (64kg) division. The Akash compet-ing in the bantamweight (56kg) category lost Uz-bekistan's Abdumalik Khalokov.. This too was a 5-0 decision. , •Vijaydeep was de-feated by Yermakhan Zhakpekov of Kazakh-stan, while Ronak lost to Uzbekistan"s Timur Merzhanov.
